Hatching Egg Shipments

Hatching eggs come to you with no guarantee, because we have no control over them after they leave our farm. They can be mishandled by the shipping agent or by the receiver. However, for best results we recommend allowing eggs to rest 48 hours after receiving them before being place in the incubator. In case of damage some orders are insured, please file all claims at your post office, ask for Claim Form #3812.

Quail eggs available May 1st to July 30th. Adults & started birds August 1st until sold out.

Coturnix Quail eggs March 1st to November 30th. Chicks, started, & mature birds March 30th to November 30th.

Pheasants & Chukar Partridges eggs mid-April to July 30th. Day old chicks May 1st to August until sold out. 

All orders are shipped on a first book basis, so order early.

Delivery

Deliveries on started & mature birds only. All prices are F.O.B. Redmond, OR when we deliver, you add $1.25 per loaded mile. However delivery charges will be prorated when there is more than one order on the same delivery. Orders will have a minimum delivery charge of $20.00.

Ordering

• All orders filled with straight-run chicks. Approximately 50% hens 50% cocks. Sexed pheasant chicks available on requested.
• All orders include 5% extra chicks at no charge.
• A full carton holds 125 chicks.
• All orders are shipped on a FIRST BOOK basis, so order early.
• We have chicks available from the first of May through mid July each year.

Shipping

All day old quail chicks are farm pick up only, we do not ship quail chicks. Egg order freight is $3.00 per 50 quail or per 25 partridges unless the shipment is over 100 eggs in which case the postage is paid. Insurance is $3.00 per order, except on postage paid items which are insured for damage or loss. File all claims with the post office. Freight charges on young or adult birds will be estimated and any excess will be refunded. Box charges are $20.00 per 20 or less adult quail and $25.00 per 10 or less adult partridges. Day old chicks freight charges see chart below. Our chicks are shipped by Express Mail or Priority Mail from Redmond, OR post office. When shipping chicks by mail, you should notify your post office of the expected shipment. We hatch every Monday so there is no charge of chicks being lost through the weekend. PLEASE REMEMBER: You must examine the chicks in the presence of a postal clerk. This is requires in order to honor any claims for shipping that do not arrive alive.
